Funeral Sermon - Resurrection
. . . went to Preserved Harris's, to preach his fathers1 funeral Sermon,
by the request of the family I preached on the subject of the resurrection,
the congregation were verry attentive . . .

1. This was Nathan Harris, father of Martin Harris. Born March 23, 1758 at
Smithfield, Providence Co., Rhode Island. Married Rhoda Lapham 1780.
Died November 11, 1835 at Mentor, Lake Co., Ohio. Moved to
Palmyra, New York in 1793 where he purchased 600 acres of land. Was among the few who saw the
116 pages of the Book of Lehi.
